The main parking lot to the park is located at 11122 West Lake Road, and that’s where you’ll want to park if you want to enjoy such activities as wildlife watching, picnicking, hiking, hunting, or geocaching.

If you want to fish for Steelhead, you should park at 10990 West Lake Road. This parking lot is accessible 24 hours a day, and you can fish in Elk Creek or where Elk Creek meets Lake Erie. Typically, you can expect to catch large Rainbow Trout here between late fall and early spring.

4. Maurice K. Goddard State Park

Finally, you can’t go wrong fishing at Maurice K. Goddard State Park at 684 Lake Wilhelm Road. This 2,856-acre state park is home to Lake Wilhelm, a 1,680-acre warmwater fishery that contains many fish species. Some of the most common species you can find in this lake include Sunfish, Perch, Catfish, Bluegill, and Muskellunge. It is worth noting that if you park at the marina, you can find Rounded Point, an area that includes an ADA-accessible fishing pier.
