Are you looking for some fun outdoor activities to do with your significant other or the whole family? Our small town of Edinboro, PA has some good activities that you can enjoy when the weather is nice. See the following options, which are some of the top choices of locals and visitors alike.

1. Wooden Nickel Buffalo Farm: Grass-Fed Meat

This family-owned operation, which has been in business for 30 years, provides high-quality, grass-fed bison meat. But before you make your meat purchases, make sure the family visits the petting zoo, corn maze, and pumpkin patch. You can feed and pet the goats and donkeys while learning more about them from the knowledgeable staff. You can also take a tour of the bison farm. During autumn, the corn maze provides tons of fun for the family. And don’t forget to pick up a pumpkin for carving or for making pie. There’s also a gift shop with locally made crafts, food, jewelry, and souvenirs. Visit them at 5970 Koman Rd. Wooden Nickel Buffalo Farm is open Friday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

2. Peninsula Park

Pack the picnic baskets and blankets and sit by the water while enjoying nature. Picnic tables, pavilions, fire pits, and grills are also available. The little ones can romp around the playground while the adults relax. Be sure to bring Rover too, as the park is dog-friendly. If you like to fish, bring your rods, or if kayaking is your thing, there is easy access to the lake. Or, try your game out on the volleyball court. The address for the park is simply Peninsula Park, and you can visit 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

3. Goodell Gardens & Homestead

Take a moment to smell the roses when you walk through the gorgeous gardens here. They have a collection of rhododendron and azaleas, native trees and shrubs, a beautiful white birch that was planted in 1936, and much more. You can also take guided tours and hikes through the beautiful trails while learning more about horticulture, local birds and plants, and other wildlife. There is no cost to get in, but they do appreciate donations. This venue is located at 221 Waterford St. Rt. 6N, and they are open Wednesday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
