The 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee L presents a brand-new take on the beloved Jeep Grand Cherokee SUV, featuring a greater seating capacity than ever before. The Grand Cherokee L has a three-row interior with seating for up to seven passengers, a first for the Jeep Grand Cherokee, and also has a wealth of elegant and luxurious features that elevate the driving experience for everyone on board. The Grand Cherokee L has a number of storage solutions, starting with 17.2 cubic feet of space behind the third row, and a maximum volume of 84.6 cubic feet when both rows of rear seats are folded down. There are also roof rails for additional cargo atop the vehicle. All Grand Cherokee L trim levels feature the standard 3.6-liter V6 engine rated at 290 horsepower and 257 lb-ft of torque, though the top two trims can opt for the even more robust 5.7-liter V8 engine which produces 357 horsepower and 390 lb-ft of torque. Both engines pair with an 8-speed automatic transmission, and 4-wheel drive is an option across the board with one of three available 4X4 systems. Laredo
The Laredo trim level is the base-level Grand Cherokee L, and sets the bar for the SUVs standard features. Notable among them is the Laredo’s standard safety package, which goes above and beyond many of its competitors with such features as adaptive cruise control with stop and go, lane-keeping assist, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, and more. The Laredo is the only trim level with a cloth interior, and also features the Quadra-Trac I 4X4 system. Additional features include LED exterior lighting, 12 USB ports, a roof rack, and an 8.4-inch Uconnect 5 touchscreen.

Limited
The Limited trim level preserves the standard features of the Laredo, such as the safety features, LED lighting, and Quadra-Trac I 4X4 system but also introduces its own unique features. For starters, the Limited replaces cloth interior with Capri leather-trimmed upholstery, and also adds heated seats for the first and second rows. The steering wheel is heated and leather-wrapped as well, and the exterior features a power liftgate. Additional features include heated side mirrors, power driver’s seat lumbar support, and a remote start system.

Overland
The Overland trim steps up the 4X4 capability with the next-level Quadra-Trac II system. It’s also eligible for the beefier engine option, the 5.7-liter V8. The Overland also comes with standard Selec-Terrain Traction Management with five modes, as well as Quadra-Lift Air Suspension with a 10.9-inch maximum ground clearance. This extra lift helps the Overland achieve its maximum water fording capability of 24 inches. The Overland also comes with standard hill-descent control and front two hooks, and its off-road equipment can be further increased with the available Off-Road Group which adds underbody skid plates, and an electronic limited-slip rear differential.

Summit
The Summit trim level is the top-tier for the Jeep Grand Cherokee L, and features standard Quadra-Drive II 4X4 technology. Inside, you’ll find bolsters upholstered in quilted Nappa leather, massaging front seats with memory settings, and the available 19-speaker premium McIntosh sound system. The Summit has a standard electronic limited-slip rear differential, four-zone automatic climate control, and a stylish gloss black roof. It also has a second center console for the second row with its own ambient LED lighting to illuminate the cupholders.
