2022 Jeep Gladiator

Successfully marrying Jeep’s iconic styling and off-road capability with the practicality of a pickup truck, the Gladiator is easily one of the most exciting entries in its segment. Its heavily reinforced construction allows it to perform an assortment of heavy-duty tasks while its user-friendly tech keeps you connected while on the go. And yes, just like other Jeeps, it features easily removable body panels! Here’s your quick guide to the 2022 Jeep Gladiator!

Powertrain

Motivating the Gladiator is a naturally aspirated 3.6L V6 engine that produces a hearty 285 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. A 260-horsepower 3.0L V6 turbo diesel engine is also available and cranks up the torque to 440 lb-ft. Either engine can be paired with the standard 6-speed manual transmission to recreate the classic Jeep experience or an 8-speed automatic transmission that intelligently adapts its gearshifts to changing driving conditions

Off-Road Performance

As you’d expect from any vehicle in the Jeep lineup, the Gladiator is a master performer in rugged environments. Its standard four-wheel drive system is constantly monitoring available traction for all four wheels and sends enough torque to help prevent slippage. The suspension is highly articulated and features a leading link in front and a trailing arm in the rear. Complementing this setup is a remarkable ground clearance of up to 11.1 inches.

The available Selec-Trac feature adds the 4-H Auto mode that automatically engages and disengages the 4×4 system to help deal with mixed surfaces. Tru-Lok electronic locking differentials in both the front and the rear of the Gladiator keep the momentum going when you’re trying to move quickly through challenging trails.

Towing and Hauling

In its Sport trim, the Gladiator is capable of towing an impressive 4,000 pounds, but models equipped with the Trailer-Tow Package can perform heavier jobs with a maximum towing capacity of 7,650 pounds. The Trailer-Tow Package adds a Class IV receiving hitch, additional engine cooling, and a trailer hitch zoom to help you line up the truck with its trailer. The Gladiator also leads its mid-sized rivals with a payload capacity of up to 1,700 pounds.

Passenger Cabin

The Gladiator’s upright seating provides a commanding view of your surroundings and its durable interior is built to last. There’s enough room to comfortably seat five adults and storage space is plentiful, including a unique removable under-seat storage bin. Available heated front seats and heated steering wheel keep you warm during harsh winters and high-altitude trips. Luxurious touches like genuine leather and chrome trim can also be added.

Infotainment

A host of connectivity options is included with the Gladiator’s Unconnect touchscreen infotainment system. Smartphone integration with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto is offered, as is a mobile 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot that allows up to eight devices within 50 feet to connect to the internet. You can even connect to the truck from your home with Amazon Alexa and start its ignition, check its fluid levels, or send an address to the available navigation system.

Jeep fans can rejoice with the addition of this seriously capable pickup to the iconic brand’s stable. Check out the Jeep Gladiator at Cunningham CDJR – Edinboro today!
