The park also offers exciting hiking trails along 90-foot cliffs, boat rentals, a historic lighthouse, and picnic areas. The park is open from sunrise to sunset and has free admission, but donations are accepted. It is 12 miles west of the city of Erie.

 

3. Pat Crawford Beach

The quarter mile-long, soft, white, sandy Pat Crawford Beach provides the community with a wonderful spot to sunbathe, swim, fish, and boat. Pat Crawford Beach is located within the city limits, with free parking adjacent to the beach. It is open from Memorial Day to Labor Day, with lifeguards on duty from 12:00 to 4:00 p.m.

 

4. UPMC Sunset Music Series

The 2024 UPMC Sunset Music Series offers free concerts every Wednesday night from June 19 to July 26 from 5:30 p.m. to sunset at Beach 11 (Kohler Beach) on the sandy shores of Presque Isle State Park. At the concerts, you will find a lineup of two live local, regional, or national bands, ice cream, local food trucks, extended swimming hours, and hula-hoop playshops. Beach 11 is located adjacent to picnic areas, playground equipment, and picnic pavilion. It offers ample parking and beach wheelchair pathways.
