If you are planning a road trip in your new 2022 Jeep Compass and are searching for things to do, here are three great fall activities you can enjoy in the area.

1. Check Out the Fall Harvest Festival at Port Farms

Located near the small town of Waterford, Port Farms offers events and festivals throughout the year, but those taking place during the months of September and October are the most popular ones. Welcoming visitors from all over the states of Pennsylvania, New York, and Ohio, the yearly Fall Harvest Festival organized here includes a corn maze, animal exhibits, and several food stands where you can try some delicious seasonal treats.

Taking place between mid-September and late October, Port Farms’ Fall Harvest Festival welcomes visitors between 10:00 am and 7:00 pm on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays, and between 10:00 am and 9:00 pm on Fridays and Saturdays. General admission includes access to the eight-acre corn maze, a slide mountain, and hay wagon rides. Getting here from the Edinboro city center takes about 15 minutes by car via route US-6.

2. Navigate Through a Corn Maze at Wooden Nickel Buffalo Farm

Established on the grounds of a family farm in the early 1990s, Wooden Nickel Buffalo Farm is one of the best places to check out during the fall season, offering a plethora of family-friendly events and interactive exhibitions for visitors of all ages. This complex is located right off route US-79 and about three miles west of the Edinboro city center, making it possible to reach it in just five minutes by car.

Open throughout the season between 11:00 am and 9:00 pm, Wooden Nickel Buffalo Farm is a place where the entire family can have fun and enjoy some quality time outdoors. Some of the features you can find in this family-operated complex include a pumpkin patch, a large corn maze, a petting zoo, and a gift shop.

3. Pick Some Great Pumpkins and Sunflowers at Wind Dove Acres

A small farm and pumpkin patch located about 30 miles southeast of downtown Edinboro, Wind Dove Acres is the perfect place to pick some fantastic pumpkins to carve a spooky Jack-o-Lantern or bake a delicious pie. This place is open to the public every day of the week through the fall season and also offers a sunflower u-pick patch.
