3 Ice Cream Places Worth the Drive Near Edinboro, PA

Edinboro, PA ice cream

Hankering for some ice cream? Jump in the car and treat the family at one of these three amazing vendors just a short drive from Edinboro, PA. No need to worry if your kids are messy eaters; with its easy-to-clean, luxury Nappa leather seats, the 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee L Overland will take you there and back in total peace of mind--not to mention premium comfort and style!

1. Dairy Supreme

You don't visit Edinboro without going to Dairy Supreme; you just don't. With its varied menu--from the classic favorites to the deliciously outlandish--and rotating specials, plus the best milkshakes we've ever tasted, Dairy Supreme has something to satisfy even the pickiest sweet tooth.

The peanut butter s'mores are always a winner, but their simple soft serve--vanilla, chocolate, or specialty flavor--is absolutely not to be missed. And they don't just do frozen desserts, either; go on a Monday and try their ox roast--trust us! In our opinion, Edinboro just wouldn't be Edinboro without Dairy Supreme.

2. The Sweet Anchor

A little further afield, just over in Cambridge Springs, you'll find The Sweet Anchor--well worth every second of the roughly 7-mile drive from Edinboro. The fuel-efficient 2022 Jeep Wrangler 4xe Unlimited Sahara with its hybrid electric motor will get you there and back--and just about anywhere else you want to go--on the tightest of gas budgets.

Our favorite thing about The Sweet Anchor is that those guys do not scrimp on the toppings. Order a breakfast shake (yes, it's a thing--try it!) and you'll get a towering frosted pecan-rimmed, maple-drizzled maple milkshake, topped with a WHOLE cinnamon roll, a slice of maple-cured bacon, and a mountain of whipped cream--all covered with maple syrup and pecans!

3. The Scoop

"Eccentric" doesn't really begin to describe The Scoop in nearby Waterford, about 10 miles (or a 13-minute drive) from Edinboro. This weird but wonderful establishment is so much more than a straightforward sundae dispensary--it's also an Old West museum (complete with saloon and sheriff's office) and exotic taxidermy exhibit. But you know what? We dig it.

Dairy delectables on offer at The Scoop include caramel-filled cones and donut sundaes made with locally-sourced, Amish-made donuts and a choice of toppings--both of which we heartily recommend. Come for the frozen desserts; stay for the stuffed giraffes... It's certainly a unique experience!

It's fair to say that we're pretty enthusiastic about our sweet treats around here. In fact, just about the only thing we take more seriously is great deals on the best cars, so be sure to visit us at Cunningham Chrysler of Edinboro and browse our incredible inventory of new and used Chryslers, Dodges, Jeeps, and Rams today!

Maintaining Your Dodge Performance Engine: Service Tips

The powerful engine of your Dodge requires routine service to remain at peak performance. Here's a guide to Dodge performance engine maintenance for optimal horsepower, torque, and responsiveness over the long run. more Use the Most Suitable Motor Oil Inside your engine, motor oil serves as a layer of liquid protection against friction and premature wear. Your engine was designed for specific oil quality and viscosity, and will perform at its very best with the exact type of oil described in the owner's manual. Follow that guidance to keep your engine protected and powering along for longer. Always Change the Oil on Time Timely oil changes are also a must. Motor oil not only lubricates, but also cools and cleans the complexity of moving parts inside the engine. In a way, it's the engine's caretaker, without which your car's most vital component will rapidly suffer wear and tear that's very difficult to fix. To prevent this, change your oil twice at year, if not more frequently. Maintain the Cooling System Your car's cooling system is the engine's stalwart defender against overheating, which is an ever-present hazard with any engine. Check your coolant regularly and have it flushed every two years. It's also wise to have your whole cooling system inspected and pressure-tested yearly. Replace the Engine Air Filter The inflow of oxygen into the engine is kept clean by the air filter. This filter needs to be replaced at least once a year before it becomes so clogged up with dust and other airborne debris that it restricts the airflow. Replace the Fuel Filter The fuel filter keeps as much, dirt, rust, and contaminants as possible out of the engine. You'll need to replace this filter periodically. A trusted technician can decide when it's time for a new fuel filter. Avoid Emptying the Gas Tank It's best not to allow your gas tank to empty out completely. Running close to empty could stress the fuel delivery system and might overheat the fuel pump. Also, some of the sediment at the bottom of the tank could get stirred up and cause the fuel filter to clog up more rapidly. Schedule Regular Dodge Performance Engine Maintenance Your car's high-performance engine deserves specialist attention from a factory-trained Dodge professional. It's best to book routine maintenance with our experienced technicians, who can carry out all of these services. We can also fine-tune your engine once a year, which involves a close inspection of each important part.
