The 2025 Ram 2500 arrives with significant updates that strengthen its position in the heavy-duty truck segment. Known for its versatility, power, and advanced technology, the 2025 model continues to push the boundaries of what a modern truck can offer.
Trim Levels (Exterior)
The Tradesman trim introduces the new split headlight configuration and updated grille design. Chrome accents on the grille and bumpers and additional wheel designs are included on the Big Horn. The Laramie brings more premium touches with chrome trim and 18-inch aluminum wheels, while the Power Wagon stands out with its integrated front-mounted WARN winch, unique black grille, and special graphics.
The Rebel trim features black exterior accents, special badging, and off-road-focused elements. Premium LED headlights and distinctive two-tone paint options are offered on the Limited Longhorn. Exclusive chrome finishes and largest-in-class 20-inch wheels set the Limited model apart. Patriot Blue Pearl and Delmonico Red are two new paint colors. The large RAM lettering on the grille replaces the traditional Ram's head badge across all models.
Engine (Power)
The standard 6.4-liter HEMI V-8 generates 405 horsepower and 429 pound-feet of torque. This engine pairs with an eight-speed automatic transmission for smooth power delivery and improved fuel efficiency. The optional 6.7-liter Cummins Turbo-Diesel receives significant upgrades for 2025, now producing 430 horsepower (a 60-horsepower increase) and 1,075 pound-feet of torque (a 225 pound-feet-increase). The new ZF Powerline eight-speed automatic transmission features optimized gear ratios and improved shift quality to handle the increased torque output.
Performance
The 6.4-liter HEMI V-8 configuration achieves a maximum towing capacity of 17,730 pounds and can handle payloads of up to 4,000 pounds. The 6.7-liter Cummins Turbo-Diesel increases maximum towing capacity to 19,990 pounds, with a payload rating of 3,150 pounds. Two-wheel- and four-wheel-drive configurations are available. The four-wheel-drive system includes a two-speed transfer case with low-range gearing for challenging terrain or heavy loads.
Interior
The Uconnect 5 infotainment system comes standard with an 8.4-inch touchscreen in Tradesman and Big Horn trim levels. Power Wagon, Rebel, and Laramie models feature a 12-inch screen, while Limited Longhorn and Limited trims receive a 14.5-inch display. A 10.25-inch passenger interactive display and 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster provide additional information and controls. The redesigned center console accommodates 15-inch laptops and includes multiple storage options. Sound insulation improvements include active noise cancellation and acoustic glass, reducing road and wind noise throughout the cabin.
Safety Features
Advanced driver-assistance systems include adaptive cruise control, lane-keep assist, and blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert. Forward collision warning with active braking and a 360-degree surround-view camera system helps prevent accidents. Towing-specific safety features include trailer reverse guidance, telescopic trailer tow mirrors, and a tire pressure monitoring system. Additional safety technologies include intersection collision assist, evasive steering assist, drowsy driver detection, and traffic sign recognition. A new air filtration system improves cabin air quality, while the updated mirrors provide better visibility when towing large loads.
