Trim Levels
An astounding nine trims are offered for the 2023 Ram 1500: Tradesman, Tradesman HFE, Lone Star, Big Horn, Laramie, Rebel, Longhorn, Limited, and TRX. Options for a quad cab or a crew cab are offered for most trims, with the crew cab paired with short or long bed options, while the quad cab includes the long bed. Wheel size varies by trim, and the Ram 1500 will sit atop either 18-, 20-, or 22-inch wheels. In addition, you'll find Bi-LED projector headlights, 60/40 swing-away doors, a multifunction tailgate, and heated power outside mirrors.
Engine
Depending on the trim level, four engines are available for the 2023 Ram 1500. The first is a 3.6-liter V-6 that delivers 305 horsepower and 273 pound-feet of torque. You can also get a 5.7-liter HEMI V-8 that generates 395 horsepower and 410 pound-feet of torque. The diesel option is a 3.0-liter V-6 EcoDiesel engine that garners 260 horsepower and 480 pound-feet of torque.

This engine is matched to a paddle-shiftable eight-speed automatic transmission and is the same engine found in Dodge's Hellcat models. The zero-to-60-mph time is 4.5 seconds, making the TRX one of the fastest pickup trucks on the market.

Ram offers many performance enhancements in the 2023 Ram. The standard V-6 can tow up to 7,730 pounds, but for serious hauling, go with the diesel engine that can haul up to 12,650 pounds. The 5.7-liter HEMI V-8 hauls 12,750 pounds, while the TRX engine lets you pull 8,100. Payload capacity also varies, maxing out at 2,300 pounds.
Four-wheel drive is standard on the TRX trim while available on all other trim levels of the 1500. You also get an upgraded cooling system, performance exhaust system, specialized lifted suspension with Bilstein adaptive dampers, an electronic locking rear differential, and upgraded brakes for your off-road riding.

Interior
A plush, comfortable interior with convenience features galore perfectly describes the 2023 Ram 1500. The availability of interior features depends on the trim you select and includes such features as a leather-wrapped steering wheel, power-adjustable front seats, and heated and ventilated front seats. With vinyl, cloth, and leather upholstery, you will surely get what you like. You also get an infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration, controlled via a 5-inch, 8.4-inch, or 12-inch touchscreen.
